CAMTEL partners for better services.
Cameroon Telecommunications, CAMTEL, has sealed a deal with a Russian firm to modernize and broaden its infrastructure. According to the deal, Infinet, a Russian firm, will partner with CAMTEL to establish a pilot zone and modernize the Cameroon Telecommunications infrastructure, using Infinet equipment. Commenting after sealing the deal, Dmitry Okorokov, Infinet’s Chief Executive Officer, said they have been in the African Market for a long time and have consequently gained experience that would enable them to be of great help to CAMTEL. CAMTEL’s engineers savoured the equipment and expressed satisfaction that the new installations will help speed up internet connectivity in the country. This is one of the upshots that Cameroon has brought from the African-Russia Forum.
