Michele Ndoki announces candidacy for parliament.
While the SDF is conditioning its participation at the announced 9 February 2002 polls to a resolution of the Anglophone crisis, the MRC of Prof. Maurice Kamto is already in the starting line.
Barrister Michele Ndoki who was just recently released from detention among 102 other MRC supporters has already taken the plunge. She took to twitter to announce she would stand as candidate in the parliamentary elections early next year.
This came barely few hours after the electorate for the municipal and legislative elections were convened.
“It will be a moment of truth, for those of you who believe I’m engaged to the the people, the time for the union is here, on February 9, 2019. I will be honoured to be a parliamentarian…,” she wrote on twitter.
The firebrand human rights lawyer was released from prison in October, after spending over eight months in prison. The Cameroon Renaissance Movement party member was arrested alongside hundreds of party officials and allies.
