"...I am not for Confrontation but Peace”- Quetong Handerson, Ngoketunjia SDO tells masses as D.Os take up command.

Ngoketunjia SDO, Quetong Handerson who is barely 3 weeks in power, braved hostile ground to install the newly appointed divisional officers for Balikumbat and Ndop subdivisions respectively.
The ceremonies which separately took place on the 12 and 13th of November gave room for the experienced administrator to dish out expectations to the sub divisional heads.
Installing 36-year-old Mr Forbi Enoh Fritz previously serving as 1st assistant D.O for Eyumojock to the functions of D.O for Balikumbat, the latter was urged to ensure a level-headed administrative tactic as a means of ascertaining fairness while further acting as a father to the masses. To this end therefore he was charged to remain impartial and discourage factions among Ngoketunjia elites , render support where necessary to ELECAM to enable them carry out their tasks successfully, instil and preach peace in all mediums and wherever need arises, discourage farmer-grazier conflicts amongst others.
The ceremony held at the Balikumbat integrated health center which had been deserted in the wake of the Anglophone crisis.
Conscious of the daunting task ahead, Forbi Fritz did not hesitate to throw out a plan of action through which the above can be achieved. He said "my main aim is to bring peace. I therefore call on the entire population of Balikumbat who are known for their peace-loving nature to join me in peace-making. Speaking at the Ndop Municipal grand stand, the son of the soil and S.D.O for Ngoketunjia used the opportunity to launch a plan of action which he insists is the modus operandi for effective return to normalcy. To him, "All For One and One for All", is the IDLE and only way out. This, he insisted, means "we must all indulge in a collective security.” On this premise, he hinted, "reports of multiple kidnaps have sporadically occurred in neighbourhoods purportedly carried out by few individuals relative to the present population at the scene of the act. Rise up as one man and tell your kidnappers if you touch one of us you must touch us all". If this is done, he insisted, "the kidnapping phenomenon will come to an end".
While condemning fear, Quetong Handerson in his fatherly approach debunked rumours allegedly brandishing him as an administrative agent on an assassination mission. Before now he said while choosing local pidgin language for easy comprehension "them say Handerson don come for kill all we ? No be true..."In refuting the allegations he went further to add: "I have not been appointed by the head of state for confrontation as many have been saying, but rather my appointment is an extension of the head of state’s magnanimity". He continued: "It is rare to have SDOs sent to their divisions of origin and I am amongst the rare cases....I have come for peace and not for confrontation".
The latter who is said to have been the brain behind the success of multiple football clubs as he championed the art in a bid to keep living together alive even in hey days is therefore faced with the mountain as Moses. The installation in Balikumbat was met with confrontation from purported separatist fighters with 4 explosives located amidst a partially deserted and grass filled vicinity and series of cross fires.
Unlike Balikumbat, the Ndop Municipal grand stand was crowded with over 130 people who were urged to be disseminators of the peace message as Nkenemo Michael takes up the baton .The latter who expressed optimism after being at the helm of Foumban municipality in the Noun Division thinks proper sensitization, peace talking amongst other vices answers the question of the way forward. While admitting the challenges he acknowledged their demanding nature.
