Fair play:
Hon. Enwe Francis concedes defeat to “successor”
In a rare show of fair play, Hon Enwe Francis Abi, deputy for Meme West, has conceded defeat to his replacement.
Enwe who was clearly the people’s choice got disqualified by the team designated by the CPDM Central committee to select CPDM candidates for Momo. At the time, he protested against an alleged gang-up by Minister Mbah Acha Rose and Ama Tutu Muna.
But realising that there was no need crying over spilt milk, he decided to embrace his replacement, Barrister Awuta Phillip. Following is his statement to this effect that has gone viral of the social media:
The list is finally out for those invested by the party. I wish to congratulate Barrister Awuta Phillip who has been retained as my successor for Momo West Constituency. It has been a wonderful experience serving the people of My constituency since 2007. I could only do what I did in good faith to bring the much desired development that I could, jobs to some youths, appointments to some elite, assistance to the needy that came to me, those retired that I helped to get things done for them, schools created and constructed, health facilities created, road projects, electricity extensions, financial support to individuals and organized associations, the Church, community projects, scholarships to the needy, rehabilitation of Teze oil mill, upgrading of schools, management of conflict etc. I remain available to all as my telephone number is still available. The personal and friendly contacts that developed between us of the constituency will continue because of the love I had for my people, we have gone a long way as a people from this constituency and my greatest wish is for the good spirit to continue for the sake of our very enclave three Sub Divisions that were the heart of the CPDM Party in Momo Division for the past years. We should continue in same light to maintain Momo West for the CPDM in the next elections. May the good lord continue to bless us all.
