Elecam finally publishes list of parties for Legislative, Municipal elections.
The elections management body, Elecam late on Monday published the list of political parties retained for the upcoming Legislative and Municipal elections in the country.
Out of the 470 lists submitted, 451 were validated by the elections management body, Chairman of the board of Directors of Elecam, Enow Abrams Egbe said.
The CPDM had the lion’s share of the lists as they are represented in all the ten regions of the country while some political parties like the SDF and PCRN that threatened to boycott the polls had their lists validated. See list of approved lists for the South West elsewhere.
