Why the Briscam Freedom Party rejects the Special Status for Southern Cameroons /Ambazonia.

Why the Briscam Freedom Party rejects the Special Status for Southern Cameroons /Ambazonia.

I.  No one shall disarm over Special Status

After killing 14,000 people in three years of conflict, burning over 200 villages, displacing 600.000 people and sending 30.000 people as refugees into Nigeria, the Bulu dictator has come up with a new idea.

To create a House of Chiefs for the Northwest and Southwest regions. That is his idea of solving the armed conflict and the Anglophone crisis which is largely of his creation. The bill envisages the creation of assemblies of chiefs, regional assemblies and regional councils for the English-speaking North-West and South-West regions with each of the two regions having elected presidents, vice presidents, secretaries, public affairs management controllers and three commissioners responsible for what the bill describes as economic, health, social, educational, sports and cultural development affairs..

II. The KNDP Political Skullduggery of 1957 against Dr. Endeley

The Briscam Freedom Party wants to go on record as stating that it shall never accept the involvement of any  Fons, Chiefs, Ardos, Lamidos and any other traditional rulers of any kind in the governance of the Southern Cameroons /Ambazonia because we know the damage  by the involvement of Fons in politics  ever since Fon Vincent Samdalla Galega II (the Fon of Bali) accompanied Dr. Endeley to the Lancaster House Constitutional Conference of 1957 to determine the  constitutional future of Nigeria and the Cameroons.

It was alleged (without evidence) that Dr. Endeley treated Chief Galega like his "boy" while in London. The fallout of this malicious rumour which was part of the KNDP political skullduggery of 1957 is that Fon Galega II abandoned the KNC and joined Foncha's KNDP and this helped to mobilise the other Fons of Bamenda Division such as the Fons of Bafut, Kom, Nso and Mankon to all line up in support of the KNDP program of reunification in 1961.

If the people of the Southern Cameroons are today involved in a genocidal struggle against an evil regime from the Beti region it is because the Fons of Bamenda Division in 1961 mobilised to undermine the Endeley's KNC party by making it appear that Dr. Endeley did not respect the institutions of Chieftaincy from Bamenda Division.

What was little-known in 1957 was that Dr. Endeley was a direct descendant of Chief Kuva Likenye who fought against the Germans in 1893 in a bloody battle in Buea during which Captain Freuherr von Gravenreuth was killed. Freuherr von Gravenreuth was the highest ranking German officer killed in battle during the entire German Kamerun.

Kuva Likenye also led the people of Buea in 1897 to a second battle that was led by Rittmeister Maximilian von Stetten and Lt. Hans Dominic which finally overcame the poorly armed warriors of Kuva Likenye.

It is his brother Ndeli a Likenye who finally surrendered to the Germans after Kuva Likenye withdrew in order to avoid the slaughter of the Bakweri in 1897.

Ndeli a Likenye is the one whose name was converted to Endeley by the British. Dr. Endeley was the scion of the Endeley dynasty founded in Buea by Ndeli, a Likenye.  Dr. Endeley's pedigree was such that he did not deserve the cheap political skullduggery of the KNDP over the issue of Chieftaincy.

III. Hidden Agenda

But the question now is the following:

Why does Mr. Biya want to create a House of Chiefs in the Northwest and Southwest after the idea was abandoned in 1959? The answer is that it is the master plan conceived by the Franco Beti Bulu Triad for destroying the independence of aspirations of the Southern Cameroons /Ambazonia and maintaining their colonial grip on Anglophones.

How?  Let me explain and let those who have ears listen and listen very very well. Paul Biya wants to create two houses of chiefs in the two regions and pick his sycophants such as Angwafo III and Mukete to control them. But the ultimate goal is to give them the power to declare the Northwest and Southwest as two separate autonomous regions eventually.

This will attempt to kill the independence movement completely so that the Northwest and Southwest will be perpetually at war with each other so that they can be controlled by the Beti Bulu Triad from Yaounde.

They want to see the Northwest and Southwest going to war against each other like in South Sudan and destroying themselves internally for the benefit of the Franco-Beti-Bulu Triad.  They are the ones who will provide the weapons to fuel this conflict which will last a very long time.

The people of the Southern Cameroons have great respect for their institutions of Chieftaincy. However the political skullduggery which led the Fons of Bamenda to back the reunification agenda of 1961 has raised its head again in the North West Fons’ Union, NOWEFU.

IV. Gerrymandering in NOWEFU

Here is what Fon Kennedy Nganjo of Njirong in Donga&Mantung said recently:

"The Northwest Region now has two presidents running the North West Fons’ Union (NOWEFU). There is a faction led by the Fon of Mbot and another one led by the Fon of Nkambe. Why two factions when it comes to the turn of Donga- Mantung Division? There are issues at stake that have led to this quagmire. The issue is not with the Donga-Mantung Fons but with the outgoing president. The outgoing president of NOWEFU thinks we of Donga-Mantung are stupid so he can toy around us.

Fon Teche Njie of Ngyenmuwa manipulated the NOWEFU constitution by creating the so-called post of the President of the General of the Assembly. He has maintained himself in that position so he can continue to run the organization from behind the scene. The Fon of Nkambe becomes a mere figurehead. This is absolute nonsense and must be rejected by all Fons from Donga-Mantung. Can someone tell me the difference between the President General of NOWEFU and the President of the General Assembly?

I have read the duties of the President of the General Assembly. The President of the General Assembly is the boss of the organization, period. This is not only ridiculous but silly. There is a hidden agenda behind his moves.  Fon Teche’s calculations are political and must be rejected by all Fons who care about the dignity of the institution they incarnate.

He was appointed Senator by virtue of the fact that he was the President General of NOWEFU. Fon Teche’s fear is that the next President of NOWEFU might be appointed Senator in 2018 to replace him. He would want to hang around as the most powerful man in the organization so he can be reappointed. Why?  A Senatorial position is not a Fondom that is hereditary. Can a Fon from Donga- Mantung not be appointed Senator?  Donga-Mantung Fons must rise up to claim what is legitimately theirs.

The Fons of Nkambe and Mbot must be wise enough not to fall in this stupid trap. My advice to them is to summon all the Fons in a General Assembly, reconcile amongst themselves and vote to eliminate the position of the President of the General Assembly.

Donga-Mantung must exercise the same authority as did other Divisions. Donga- Mantung must not be treated as if she is not competent to hold that position or as if it is a favour from some Fon from Momo Division. We can do better"

The result of political manipulation by Fon Teche Njei is that the NW Fons’ Union is in Factions:-

-One Organization, two Presidents.

-Parellel Elective General Assemblies in Nkambe and Bamenda same day.

-Nkambe Assembly elects Fon Ibrahim Jabfu Nfor of Nkambe as President General.

-Bamenda Assembly elects Fon Shey Barnabas Mbunwe ll of Mbot as President General.

-Out-going Fon Teche Njie becomes President of General Assembly.(A post he created in a disputed Revised Constitution)

-Two Assemblies highly politicised.

-NW Administration and Prime Minister unable to settle long & overdue squabbles and politicking within NOWEFU.

-Greed and self interest overshadow interest of people once cherished NW tradition and culture.

-NW traditional custodians now reduced to "Royal Beggers".

It can be seen that many features of the law on Special Status have been lifted from the gerrymandering of the constitution of NOWEFU whose authors were primarily Fon Teche Njei of Ngyenmuwa.

Mr. Biya is planning to completely destroy the independence aspirations of the Southern Cameroons by placing the English-speaking region under the control of very corrupt Fons like Teche Njei, Angwafo, Abumbi, Gayonga, Mukete, Tabetando etc who are not elected by anyone. Remember that Teche Njei is the corrupt Fon who presented Biya a white effigy of their idol during the 50th anniversary of reunification in Buea.

V. Does "Special Status" Project mean One country two systems in Cameroon as in Hong Kong?

Hong Kong’s 1997 handover was historic in the adoption of the One Country, Two Systems arrangement, by which the city would continue to enjoy its distinct political, socio-economic, and legal arrangements under a unified China, for at least fifty years without change.

In the case of Hong Kong, it continues to have its own currency, Central Bank and passport; its own laws making it in every sense a separate country.

The Declaration entered into force with the exchange of instruments of ratification on 27 May 1985 and was registered by the People's Republic of China and United Kingdom governments at the United Nations on 12 June 1985.

In the case of Cameroon, the Special Status continues to impose the use of the FCFA on Southern Cameroons and the use of the Cameroonian passport. Moreover the Special Status was not negotiated between the Southern Cameroons /Ambazonia and La Republique du Cameroun.

But in spite of this there is civil war on the streets of Hong Kong after just 22 years of the administration of Hong-Kong under Special Status of one country, two systems.

VI. Conclusion

The conclusion is that the Macron Biya attempt of solving the armed conflict by creating a Special Status for Southern Cameroons /Ambazonia has already failed because the armed separatists will never disarm.

The time has come finally come to call for Direct Unilateral Foreign Intervention.
