Following an increase in the rate of theft in Kimbi in the North West region, Amba boys from neighbouring Buabua village are said to have come for one of the suspected thieves, killing him and making away with motorbikes. In rage, some inhabitants of Kimbi reacted by launching a retaliatory attack.”They killed one of their fellows suspected of theft and burnt down houses in retaliation to Amba attack. The community in Kimbi did not go after Ambazonians…They came after the innocent villagers,” a source tells MMI.
