Sabotage continues against Anglophone GM at CAMTEL!
An in-house plot to water down the reforms being put in place by Yah Judith Achidi, the Anglophone GM at CAMTEL, is widening each passing day. From sponsorship of newspaper articles to run down her reputation as an incorruptible manager, the detractors appear to have stepped up their game to open sabotage. Their targets were some of the plush quarters in Yaounde hosting some of the company’s elite clientele.
One of the rooms used for the passage of the cables to Optical fiber was vandalized at the level of Niki Nlongkak at the weekend, The Horizon learnt. The criminals took away the sleeves and subsequently set fire which completely destroyed all the capacity of the support of transmission serving the entire Nlongkak area, Hypodrome, part of the Avenue des banques, and some zones in the Bastos quarter. Network reconstruction works are underway, management announced, apologising for the inconvenience and reassuring that everything is being done for a return to normal as soon as possible.
