Laudable efforts of Rose Mbah Acha at CONSUPE in 2019.

The year 2019 witnessed some laudable initiatives of the state especially in public management and administration.

A scan through top public establishments took notice of Rose Mbah Acha, the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in Charge of Supreme State Audit, who throughout the year maintained reputable qualities in public administration reaffirming her as the right pilot for the plain.

Talking about her 2019 activities, she was so consistent in ensuring that the public fortune gets to the government coffers from all sectors that matter. A review takes into her 14 January 2019 seminar which she chaired under Extractive Industries Surveillance Improvement Project in Sub-Saharan Africa known by its acronym PASIE.

During this seminar she said little was being done as far as verification and control is concerned in these extractive industries. This seminar was aimed at facing challenges that have been depriving the government of getting the right revenue from the extractive industries.

On a humanitarian note, the CONSUPE boss was so active as well. This could be seen from her philanthropic gesture to her people who were victims of the ongoing war in the English speaking regions. This took place on May 12, 2019 at the Tsinga II council hall. Her gifts were made up of variable foodstuffs and toiletries including soaps which were shared to the IDPs in Yaounde.

Rose MbahAcha can be lauded as well as a good networker especially in international relations. This could be seen through efforts like the network with the Audit Board of Indonesia and the Secretariat of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Supreme Audit Institutions known by its acronym ASEANSAI.  It should be recalled that Minister Rose MbahAcha granted audience to a delegation from the Indonesia led by Prof Bahrullah Akbar, the Vice President of ASEANSAI. Among this delegation were Wahyudi who is the Deputy Director of International Cooperation and Margareta Puput Kumiawati of the ASEANSAI secretariat.

Rose Mbah during this audience was wearing a double crown as the CONSUPE boss and the Secretary General of the African Organizations of Supreme Audit Institutions known by its acronym AFROSAI.

It is said that ASEANSAI was motivated in the quality of audits that were carried out under Minister Rose’s administration.

Moreover, during the year, she also ensured that NGOs and Civil Society Organisations who were involved in fighting illicit financial flows and mismanagement in public administration had the right support from her administration.

These initiatives mentioned above are just very few of the so many laudable moves from Minister Rose Mbah Acha. She might have recorded some flaws in the course of the year in executing her duties as the Minister Delegate at the Presidency, but this could only be seen as human weaknesses. Her report card was therefore a positive one as much is still expected from her in 2020.
