SDF promises sweeping victory in SW.

Supporters of the Social Democratic Front, SDF Party in the South West Region have been urged to give the party a sweeping victory during the upcoming twin elections.

The call was made by the SDF parliamentary candidate Fritz Ngeka Etoke while launching campaigns in Limbe on January 28, 2020. Fritz Ngeka Etoke and Emma Nanyongo Lebaga, SDF candidates vying for parliamentary seats, reiterated the fact that a vote for the SDF party is a vote for change, competence, proximity and dedication to service to the community. The vision of the party according to them, is based on six pillars, that is, peace and social justice, health, education, sustainable development, youth and women empowerment. “A good MP is someone who will always be close to the population. Most MPs are in their houses while some are in Yaounde. They are only available during the election period. But, I have always dedicated my services to the community,” Fritz Ngeka said. Meanwhile the population of Limbe was also reminded that other priority projects shall be in the field of education, road infrastructure and the provision of potable water, while their offices shall remain open for everyone to see what is happening. The public, they reiterated, shall be free to come and check on their accounts at any time they deem necessary.

The race for vote in favour of the SDF candidate for the February 9 Legislative and Municipal elections began with a caravan from Mile 4 Limbe, to Sokolo through Down Beach, New Town and Church Street. While challenging the women to vote for the party which according to her is the only party that is concerned with the welfare of the women and the girl child, Madam Emma Nanyongo Lebaga promised continuous empowerment of the women and the girl child. “Women are very dynamic, you just need to support and sensitise them. If they come out we are going to work together. We have to be in the decision table to make concrete decisions. We can even create a bank for women or corporations. Why should women be hawking on the streets every day? They should think of growing up,” Emma Nanyongo Lebaga remarked.

She told sympathisers that her priority macro project will be the construction of all the major markets in the municipality, especially the Limbe main market behind Church Street. Also present at the campaign were list leaders of the SDF party for the municipal election in Limbe I, II and III.
