DGI Celcom ‘knighted.
Service to the nation without change of status is an act of injustice. Unfortunately, Cameroon’s public service abounds in such cases. When this happens in a service like the Taxation Directorate (DGI) where there is supposed to be the means, it is more depressing to the person in question.
But Evina Evina Jean Pierre, attached to the communication service of DGI for the last 13 years, has borne this injustice with equanimity. He was among tens of staff of the Ministry of Finance to be decorated during New Year’s wishes last Friday.
He got silver and silver-gilt medals affixed on him in recognition of 20 years of hard work.
