Home-based Lions: Winning strategies reinvigorate.
Two months to the Africa Nations Championship (CHAN), the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, recently installed a four-man team led by Fils Gweha Ikouam to bolster the den.
The installation ceremony took place last Wednesday in the conference hall of the Ministry. The team of Martin Ndtoungou Mpile, Hans Agbor, Soulemanou Aboubakar and Fils Gweha Ikouam general supervisor of the consultancy team have as objective to bring useful tips to Head Coach Clement Arroga and also to supervise the other teams that will participate in the CHAN come April, 2020, propose a scientific training approach, among others.
While addressing the Gweha Ikouam team, the sports boss lampooned the idea of a probable tension between the team of consultants and the home- based Lions head Coach. Minister Mouelle Kombi reiterated that the technical team had specific missions other than coaching.
Coach Clement Arroga, for his part, welcomed the coming of the consultant, saying he could not control and did not have mastery of every technical aspect of football. The gaffer said the rich experience of the team will go a long way to build a solid team for Cameroon.
Some days to the draws of the 2020 CHAN, Minister Narcisse Mouelle Kombi reminded the enlarged technical staff that they have as main objective ‘Win the 6th edition of CHAN”.
