Douala Archdiocese sets day of prayer against CONVID-19.

The Archdiocese of Douala has announced a day of prayer for persons who have lost their lives as a result of the CONVID-19 as well as those attained by the novel virus.

In a statement released by the Archbishop of Douala, His Lordship Samuel Kleda, Friday March 20 will be set aside for fasting and prayers to improve God’s mercy on the lives of victims.

“We are deeply touched by this dramatic situation (The outbreak of the CONVID-19), that is why we are showing solidarity to all victims and persons living in these difficult situations”, Mgr. Samuel Kleda said.

“We have thus decided to set aside Friday, March 20 for fasting and prayers in the diocese for affected persons. Our thoughts go to all those who have lost their lives as result of this pandemic. We equally extend our sympathy to all other countries affected, their leaders, doctors, scientific researchers and all other persons affected”, he added.

He equally called on Christians of the Archdiocese of Douala as well as the general public to be vigilant and strictly respect the hygiene and sanitation measures prescribed by the Ministry of Public Health.
