Nfor Tebetando rises to Senate 1st Vice President.

In the spotlight once again is the brilliant re-election of Manyu political guru Nfor TEBETANDO, to the covetous post of 1st Vice President of the Senate of Cameroon, last Thursday March 26 2020.

While political pundits of the ruling CPDM party indisputably attribute Nfor Tabetando’s achievement in the Upper House to political maturity and shrewdness, the South West CPDM elite class are fast to deduce his recent elevation as compensation for hard work and diligence.

The Manyu political heavyweight Nfor Tabetando is that archetype and prototype political figure who signed a contract to always stay glued to the CPDM party for better or worse.

The Anglophone crisis that has led to the deaths of many innocent people and the displacement of thousands across the nation and to neighboring Nigeria has been a very challenging and difficult moment for President Paul Biya and the ruling CPDM party.

Nfor TABETANDO who is known to be a staunch political servant who marches words with actions, has been at the forefront of various peace crusades across Manyu Division. His absolute humility and stewardship was clearly demonstrated in one of his outings in Mamfe, when he took the nation by surprise on bended knees calling on his children in the bushes to come back home and continue with normal life in their respective communities. This outstanding initiative from a genuine high-profile personality of the Upper House of parliament and a colossal traditional epic hero was appreciated in many circles.

Although Nfor TABETANDO got some few criticisms from some narrow-minded social media skeptics, great minds rediscovered him as a political juggler who could go to any lengths to salvage a tense political tremor.

The Senate Vice president has been the turbo of CPDM Manyu Division for many years. He has been at the forefront of the unprecedented success of the CPDM in all past elections in Manyu Division.

To keep the flames of any political party burning with vigour and robustness, money must play a very vital role according to political experts. Nfor TABETANDO who understood this concept far back in the days of late President Ahmadou AHIDJO has always put financial resources as a major priority for the energy of the party in Manyu Division and beyond. That was why he was proudly described as the Messiah and Abiola of Manyu Division by the late Minister Agbor Tabi Peter and many other staunch and political stalwarts of CPDM in Manyu Division.

His largesse was not only felt in Manyu Division, but beyond. During the organisation of the 50th anniversary of the independence of the nation of Cameroon, Nfor TABETANDO made the South West region proud when as chief launcher to raise money for the event gave the lion’s share that paved the way for a successful organisation of the occasion.

What sets him apart from other political pundits is his political shrewdness and ability to rally his grassroots militants. He hates with all his energy those rotten components that could fan political polarization and hatred amongst local party officials.

TABETANDO took everyone by surprise and heroically won the minds of the power brokers of Etoudi by using a giant football tournament and cultural jamboree to contain the massive lockdown imposed by the Ambazonian Freedom Fighters during the electoral period. While the populations of other parts of Southern Cameroons were in bushes and locked in their homes for fear of incursions, Manyu was in a state of effervescence and ecstasy as all the streets, bars and offices were jammed to full capacity with people going about with their respective activities.

The Senate 1st Deputy President is a philanthropist of the highest magnitude, who has not failed in his duty to put a smile on the faces of many Manyu people. As the former C.E.O. of EUROIL company Ltd, Nfor TABETANDO employed hundreds of not only Manyu people but Cameroonians who supported their respective families. He went the extra mile to settle hospital bills of sick persons who could not afford, and sponsored scores of young children by awarding them academic scholarships of excellence.

The Manyu political giant is a fervent traditionalist who took the South West Chiefs’ Conference to an inordinate dimension. During his reign as the President of the South West Chiefs’ Conference, a lot of innovations were observed. A deal was reached between the Kwazulu House of Chiefs and the South West Chiefs’ Conference for cultural exchange and experience. He equally worked relentlessly for a foundation stone for the construction of a South West Chiefs’ Conference building in Buea.

A long-standing member of the Central Committee of the CPDM, former Chief whip of the CPDM group in the Upper House of Parliament and today the 1st Vice President of the Senate , political pundits and analysts will not be far from the viewpoint that the recent accomplishment of Nfor TEBETANDO comes indisputably as a result of hard work and diligence, coupled with his political shrewdness and astuteness that caught the admiration of the Head of State President Paul Biya and the great CPDM party.
