Christian youths complete 5-day training on Dish Installation.

Drawn from the Cameroon Baptist Convention (CBC) and other denominations under its youths and students department, the over 35 participants were drilled on the setting up of dishes for the connecting and installation of digital satellite audio visual images.
The role of this aspect in a growing world of entertainment has for long caught human attention. The 5-day outdoor training seminar was in a bid to improve the cost of living for the youths and eventually provide a link to job creation in a bid to ensure entrepreneurial exploits.
Plotting the dish on a horizontal or vertical axis with a signal search and channel stability from the east were some vital issues which took centre stage at the heart of the Baptist Center Nkwen.
According to the CBC Youth and Institutional Pastor for Bamenda Field, Pastor Denis Ngong, the exercise is in a bid to keep youths busy during vacations and also avoid the outcome of the saying "an idle mind is the devil’s workshop". To him, the exercise which is in its first phase, is geared towards meeting the needs of society owing to threats and destruction of satellite dishes by the winds which characterise the rainy season."In an eventual destruction of a dish the participants will be able to reinstall it with no challenges".
“Though this is the ground testing phase we can indeed say our objectives have been attained and we shall subsequently do more to ensure we adequately and conveniently contribute our quota to the most sung nation building slogan and most especially fill our gap in the United Nations development program for African nation.”, Pastor Ngong added.
Some of the participants said armed with these skills “it's time to break off from the chains of unemployment and dare into things which can help them meet up with individual as well as collective challenges of life.”
