Government reinforces mobilisation of health personnel.
The Government of Cameroon is mobilizing health workers across the country in order to better fight the spread of the COVID-19 in the country.
To that effect, the Minister of Public Health, Dr. Malachie Manaouda, has called on all health personnel in the process of integration to present themselves to any Regional Delegation of public health for their immediate mobilization within the framework of the response to the COVID-19. “The fight against the pandemic has become a national effort and requires the mobilization of all energies to protect our country,” Dr Malachie Manaouda said.
In total, close to 500 health personnel will be solicited across for the country to boost the available task force for proper reinforcement of the response plan that is already in place.
The Minister of public Health has equally praised the efforts of health personnel who have been working day and night to screen as well as provide care to the patients.
Given that the response is a collective one, he has also called on all Cameroonians to contribute effective to raising awareness around them on hygiene measures and precautions aimed at combating the virus.
