Mayors warned against rectification of documents.
The Mayor of Kumba I, II III and City Council, Eseme Moses Essambe, Mbatchu Jacob Kay, Isaac Mukwelle Nguba, Victor Nkelle Ngoh alongside their Deputies have promised to perform their duties diligently.
The four Mayors made the declaration after their oath-taking ceremony which took place on Friday March 27th, 2020.
The municipal authorities who took their oath of office as Civil Status Registration Officers, were reminded of their task which, according to the Presiding Magistrate, Itoe Hannah epouse Egbe, were peculiar and daunting. The signing of these documents, she said, gives administrative credibility to these municipal authorities but nevertheless references should be made against rectification of documents. According to the Mayor of Kumba II Council, Mbatchu Jacob Kay, he was delighted to have been sworn into office and would perform his task objectively. He admitted the event was a reminder for him to be job-conscious as he goes about his activity without distinction. He mentioned that his major priority is to see workers paid regularly.
For Isaac Mukwelle Nguba, Kumba III Council Mayor, the oath-taking ceremony is simply a fortification right to go about his work without complex. He noted that ever since they were elected they have not been able to sign documents such as Birth, Marriage and Death Certificates.
