COVID-19 fight: French firms donate hydro-alcoholic solutions worth FCFA 36 Million to Cameroon.
A group of four French firms based in Cameroon has offered twenty thousand litres of hydro-alcoholic solution worth FCFA 36million to the Government of Cameroon as part of their support in the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic in the country.
The donation was handed over to the Prime Minister Head of Government Chief Dr Joseph Dion Ngute last Friday in Yaounde during an audience he granted a delegation of the companies managers led by French Ambassador, Christophe Guilhou.
The solutions, reports say, will be channelled to hospitals in Yaounde, Douala, Bafoussam, Buea and other parts of the country to help stem the rapid spread of the killer virus.
The gesture from Total Cameroon, Brasseries du Cameroun, Group CFAO and SOSUCAM firms comes barely twenty-four hours after Christophe Guilhou was received by the Head of State Paul Biya at the Unity Palace in Yaounde.
After this audience, the French Diplomat announced France would support Cameroon in her fight against the dreaded pandemic.
According to reports, apart from the hydro-alcoholic solution, the above mentioned firms have committed themselves to equally support Cameroon’s Coronavirus Solidarity fund.
