‘Politically correct’ Asheri Kilo says CPDM victory in Bui is result of perfect collaboration.
Prof. Daniel Lantum, CPDM Central Committee Member for Bui, must be a proud man today. The ailing political boss for Bui is surely taking comfort in the fact that the person who replaced him as Bui Divisional CPDM campaign team has delivered the goods. The ‘politically correct’ Yaah Dr ASHERI KILO who is wearing Prof. Lantum’s big shoes has unexpected brought light to Bui. But as leader of Bui Divisional CPDM campaign team that burnt the midnight oil to obtain a crushing victory over the SDF that had ridden roughshod over the ruling party for decades, she does not want to take all the credit. She thinks that victory was the result of perfect collaboration.
The Secretary of State for Basic Education, in this interview with The Horizon, pays glowing tribute to Prime Minister Emeritus Yang Philemon, head of the Regional campaign team, considered her political godfather, as well as the Bui Divisional team for the victory in Bui.
She also seizes the opportunity to hail two other female hunting dogs, “H.E. Mme Rose MBAH ACHA who captured MOMO and cleared it of the SDF,
Prof. Uphie CHINJE MELO who without any dispute picked up all the councils and parliamentary seats in NGOKETUNJIA”.
She begins by stating what accounts for the victory of CPDM in the North West Region and Bui Division in particular. Excerpts:
First, I wish to thank the Lord Almighty for the success that we achieved in the Region and Bui in particular.
Secondly to appreciate the coordination of Prime Minister Emeritus Yang Philemon, head of the Regional campaign team as well as the Bui Divisional team for the victory in Bui.
The Divisional team that scored the goals comprised of:
Their skilful political tact and their generosity pulled the CPDM militants together in a way that victory was assured. The population of Bui was already fed up with the SDF and badly needed a new start with the CPDM.
The women seemed to have played a big role in the CPDM victory in the North West. Your comments.
I would like to highly commend the women on the CPDM campaign teams in the region;
H.E. Mme Rose MBAH ACHA who captured MOMO and cleared it of the SDF,
Prof. Uphie CHINJE MELO who without any dispute picked up all the councils and parliamentary seats in NGOKETUNJIA and my humble self.
Yes we were heads of our own Divisions but we must say that without the effective support and collaboration of campaign teams, we would not have enjoyed the resounding victory we had.
Under the outstanding leadership of H.E. YANG Philemon, the North West Region has sustained a transparent and methodic working strategy which takes stock of everyone’s brilliant ideas to produce concrete results.
Elites, Mayors, Parliamentarians, Section Presidents, Senators, Central Committee members, Ministers and militants sat around the same table to draft strategies that took us to victory.
Everyone shares the glory, everyone is happy for the positive contributions they made, everyone is happy for the sacrifices they made during very difficult circumstances. The determination of the militants sufficed in the decision they took to clean the image of Bui through the ballot box.
What is the way forward?
It is about time we get on to serious work. I hasten to add that with the security measures the government has put in place, Mayors and councilors will be ready to start effective work.
Time is of essence.
