Daphne, Koffi Olomide collaborate in new project.
Cameroonian urban music singer Daphne and Rumba Legend Koffi Olomide have released a new single titled ‘you got it’.
The two recently dropped pictures of their studio sessions in Kinshasa calling on their fans to anticipate for the song which is produced by another Cameroon artiste, Salatiel. The song which was available on all digital platforms since last Thursday is a blend of typical Congolese rumba and afro pop with ‘Mopao Mokonzi’ professing love for his partner in this case Daphne. This is the first big collaboration the Cale queen is having with the Congolese artiste as her career continues on the ascendancy.
Away from the studios, Daphne put on her humanitarian attire last week to go down to a neighbourhood in Buea and distribute healthcare materials and sanitary kits as well as sensitise the population on the preventive measures to adopt in order to fight against the COVID-19. With her Foundation, Black Empowered Woman, Bewoman and the Samuel Eto’o Foundation, food items and sanitary kits were handed to the populations of Buea, Bokwaongo, and Great Soppo as well as at the Buea Central Prison.
The artiste expressed delight to be back ‘home’ to sensitise the population and told them the COVID-19 is real and only the respect of preventive measures as well as adopting proper hygiene attitudes could help prevent the spread of the virus.
