Gov’t contributes FCFA 8.9billion to Biya’s Marshall Plan for NW& SW.
The Government of Cameroon has made an initial contribution of FCFA 8.9billion, to the Presidential Plan for the Reconstruction and Development of the North West and South West regions of the country,PPRD-NW/SW.
This follows the signing of the financing agreement and framework document of the plan in Yaounde on 5 May, 2020.
Signing on behalf of the implementing partner, the United Nations Development Programme, was its resident representative, Jean-Luc Stalon, and on behalf of the Cameroon Government, the Minister of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development,Alamine Ousmane Mey.
Speaking to the press, the UNDP resident representative, admitted the bumpy road to the execution of the plan. He said the plan targeted rebuilding social cohesion, rebuilding infrastructure, and rebuilding the local economy.
