Cameroon’s Coronavirus cases rise to 2,104.
Cameroon has recorded twenty-seven new Coronavirus cases, bringing the total number persons infected as at this Tuesday May 5 in the country to two thousand, one hundred and four.
The new statistics were announced by officials of the Ministry of Public health Monday May 4, at the traditional daily press briefing on the situation of the Coronavirus in the country.
They cautioned Cameroonians on the need to continue strictly respecting COVID-19 hygiene and social distancing measures if not the number of infected persons will keep increasing rapidly.
With the lifting of some barrier measures against the Coronavirus pandemic, announced by the Government last Thursday, life seems to have almost returned to normalcy with few people seen wearing face masks and observing the social distancing measure.
Health experts have warned that the virus may keep spreading nationwide if Cameroonians do not take serious preventive measures including the wearing of a face mask in public places, the constant washing of hands with clean water and soap or the use of a hand sanitizer and the observance of social distancing.
