Ambazonia IG in Diaspora accused of plotting ‘fall of Bafut’ to Cameroon army!

Ambazonia IG in Diaspora accused of plotting ‘fall of Bafut’ to Cameroon army!

Details are now emerging to explain the ease with which the separatist stronghold of Bafut easily fell to government forces last week.

Insiders within the movement for the restoration of the independence for Southern Cameroon, now referred as Ambazonia has accused the Ambazonian Interim Government (IG) in the Diaspora, led by Dr Samuel Sako of imposing their county by county policy which left Bafut vulnerable to “enemy forces’.

One account has it that the IG had convinced the dreaded Bafut 7 Kata to organize a reconciliation football match between factions near the military camp at the Bamenda Airport. And so following a tip-off from among their ranks, it was a rout when government forces attacked the unarmed and defenceless amba boys on the field

Atanga Maxcellus, referred to as a “master planner kidnapper”, is said to have  been used by the Sako faction of the IG to infiltrate the  Bafut 7 KATA and cause their decimation.

“The football match between Gen Kata and Alhadji's team was meant to bring armless soldiers together to set them up for murder by LRC and to accuse ADF for masterminding it”, writes an insider.

He questioned “how soldiers will be playing a football match during an active war and very close to the enemy's military base”.

The county by county policy of the Diaspora came under fire from an activist who questioned why there was no back-up from other counties like Mankon or Wum when Bafut was under attack.

“If county by county is a way forward, where is the IG and its supporters to provide backup to Bafut? Instead they have abandoned Bafut to themselves and are silent?

“I will advise the Bafut community to collaborate with their neighbours because this fight is for our freedom and we will never get freedom in Bafut while Mankon is still enslaved by LRC. The county by county approach seems to be non-collaborative approach built along tribal lines which is bad for Ambazonia.

“The right thing for Bafut will be to collaborate with Momo, Menchum, Boyo, Mankon where they can have assured backup. Do not allow some diaspora to deceive you into death,” the strategist argued.

It should be recalled that during the attack, tens of fighters were killed, including the the two emblematic Generals Kata and Alhaji.

The fall of Bafut has come as a morale booster to the Cameroonian army which has vowed to liberate the entire North west and south West so that peace and normalcy can return.
