Francis Ngannou KOs Jair Rozenstruik in 20 seconds
Cameroonian UFC fighter Francis Ngannou demolished his opponent, Jair Rozenstruik Saturday night in UFC 249 heavyweight bout within 20 seconds of the first round in Jacksonville, Florida.
The highly–anticipated fight between both men was initially scheduled to take place on March 28, 2020, but was postponed as a result of the outbreak of the coronavirus. Prior to their fight, Jair Rozenstruik was undefeated in the UFC with a record (10-0) while Francis Ngannou had a record of (14-3).
In his post-match interview, Francis Ngannou said: “When I heard he called me out, I knew he didn’t know what he was doing. He has a lot of potential. I just think he needs to take a step back. He wasn’t ready for a fight against someone like me.”
The native of Batié, Upper Plateau Division in the West Region, is one-time challenger for the UFC heavyweight belt in 2018 against champion Stripe Miocic. Francis Ngannou lost the fight through unanimous decisions form the judges. He has since been itching to have a re-match.
UFC President Dana White revealed earlier this week that the winner of this fight would be in line to fight the winner of the bout between Miocic and Cormier fight. This means Ngannou is next in line for another title shot.
