Everything being equal, that is, if fear did not reign roughshod on the territory, and if colonial terrorist administrators were not so high handed, the 11th of February, and the 20th of May, landmark dates in our history, would normally be marked by street demonstrations, symposia, colloquiums and other such events to raise awareness and lampoon the ills that annexation has visited on our people and raise our voices and cry out for international intervention. But all things are not equal. Forces beyond us, and common sense have dictated that during this revolution, we resort to lockdowns and ghost towns instead of street demonstrations so as to preserve the lives of our people. Were it not so, many more people would have been slaughtered by the ever trigger eager terrorist forces from La République.
Forces beyond Yaoundé have compelled them to *"suspend"* their commemoration of May 20, 2020. *Is that reason enough for the struggle to also ignore this date?* No, it is not. The struggle has declared and observed ghost towns for reasons as simple as court days for struggle detainees. *How is it therefore possible that on May 20, 2020, Yaoundé's commemoration or not, this day should pass without an event?* Who is dictating order in Ambazonia? Yaoundé or the struggle?
Covid19, or whichever covid or not, and until homeland restoration deletes these dates from the political calendar of Ambazonia, no reason should be given to justify why Yaoundé should set the pace and for why ground zero should act as if that date never happened.
*Lockdown therefore, is the least Ground Zero can observe on this and on these dates.* I pray that you all stay home and be preserved. God is with us.
