Bamenda II mayor provides didactic material to enhance education.
The new Mayor of the Bamenda II Council, Chenwi Peter, has been hailed for the provision of quality didactic materials to enhance the course of teaching and learning in the subdivision. The event on June 5, 2020 was the distribution of the consignment of some 1, 874 materials to Head Teachers of the 27 primary and 15 nursery schools of the municipality.
In effect, the Head Teachers took home cartons of white and coloured chalk, lesson notebooks, sharpeners, black board rulers, pens, reams of paper, school registers, drinking buckets, transmission registers, savon, wash hand buckets with taps hand sanitizers, cutlasses, First Aid kits, schemes of work etc.
It was a major break from the recent past with beneficiary Head Teachers thanking the Mayor for not only delivering in time but making available transport or logistics to take the materials back to respective schools. They welcomed the new dawn which inspires hope and encouraged the education community to be alert and encouraged to foster the course of education in challenging times with the socio-political and security crisis not helping matters in North West region. The mayor, Chenwi Peter, stated preparedness to continue to stand by the education family to give children a chance in their right to education He told them that the didactic materials, mission allowance and transport made available is a booster for teachers to continue to shine the faces of pupils. Coming on the heels of the resumption of schools by end-of-course examination candidates, the Mayor wished them success at the 2019/2020 sessions of the First School Leaving Certificates, FSLC, and CEP.
