Lawyers discover missing journalist at (SED) Yaoundé, 24 days after his arrest

We can now confirm that Kingsley FUMUNYUY NJOKA, Journalist by profession is at the Centrale Des Recherches Judiciare at the Secretariat of Defense (SED) Yaoundé. We AKUWIYDZE Joseph, PEKUM Emmanuel and AMUNGWA Tanyi Esqs met him this morning at about 09:30. We had a discussion with him in the office of his investigator. He is frail and pale for he drinks mostly water because he is traumatized psychologically to have been kept for twenty four days incommunicado till this morning when we met him. He is suspected to be sponsoring the Ambazonian fighters and to have been very critical in his media outings especially against the Yaounde regime in their manner of handling the crisis since 2017. He is alleged also to belong to several social media platforms wherein information about the ongoing crisis in the two English Speaking Regions of Cameroon is shared. Kingsley Njoka was whisked off in front of his residence at Bonaberi Douala at 06:00 am on May 15th ,2020 by four incognito security officers amongst them a lady without the knowledge of his family and above all the wife who was lying seriously ill in bed that morning. After abducting him 6 am, they undercover armed officers returned few minutes after and searched his home thoroughly and forced the sick wife to his office where they carried same a systematic search. During the exercise, they took away three laptops and about FCFA 50000 (fifty thousand francs) from the office without the wife signing out the objects and the money. He was transported in a white pickup with SN matriculation number plate to Brigade des Recherches Ndobo Bonaberi momentarily before being transferred to the police headquarters in Bonanjo Douala. From the police headquarters Bonajo he was ferried to the Military Research Service Yaoundé same May 15th 2020. He slept on a mat for several days at the military research service in a make shift cell before being transferred to SED. Three lab tops seized alongside his android phone are currently being searched by the investigator at Centrale Des Recherches Judiciare (SED) in order to ascertain the veracity of allegation brought against him.
