L’Oeil du Sahel’s Yaounde office burgled.

The Yaounde office of L’Oeil du Sahel, a French tri-weekly newspaper, was burgled in the night of Monday June 22, breaking Tuesday, the publisher of the newspaper has confirmed.

Men of the underworld are reported to have broken into the Yaounde head office of L’Oeil du Sahel, located at the Bastos neighbourhood.

Early the next morning, the publisher of the newspaper, Guibai Gatama, took to Facebook to announce the news.

According to his Facebook post, thieves broke into the office in the night of Monday June 22, looted the whole place and made away with office equipment.

Guibai Gatama has noted that despite the burglary, the journalists remain mobilised.
