Mamfe gets new, younger mayor.

Councilors of the Mamfe Municipality have voted in 32-year-old Tabenchong Robertson Ashu as the new Mayor.

He was voted on Tuesday, June 30th, 2020, at the Mamfe council deliberative chambers.

He takes over from Priestly Ojong, who was brutally murdered on Sunday, May 10th, 2020, at Eshobi, Mamfe.

Like the old Mayor, he too comes from Eshobi village. He too is a businessman and an astute rising politician.

He is married with three kids

It should be noted that all 20 councillors present voted for the new Mayor.
