The founder and president of the Centre for Human Rights and Democracy in Africa, CHRDA, has expressed disappointment following declarations made against him by the head of the communication unit at the ministry of defence on Equinoxe television Sunday July 5th 2020.
According to Col. Cyrille Serge Atonfack, Bar. Agbor Bala recognised having committed an error by publishing that military men killed a four-month-old baby Martha Mbuh in Muyuka on the 20th of May 2019.
Bar. Agbor Felix Bala has debunked the statement saying “… I’m surprised that the army colonel will say that. We never published any statement that the military killed the child. We published that unknown persons killed the baby.The Ambazonia boys equally criticised us for posting that. The information is online for anyone to check. “
Bar. Bala says civil society does not follow the crowd while reacting to issues. He stressed on the fact they published on the Killing but did not attribute the killing of the baby to anyone.
“You know Ngarbuh issues and other things have happened and I have criticised the state so he had to say that. Probably we don’t play their game and things like that”, said the Barrister.
