SOS: Conjoined twins in dire need of help.
A set of conjoined twins born into the family of Mr Ekane Richard Akwe last Monday, 7 July, is in need of help to survive. The parents of the kids who are both unemployed only had to rely on the goodwill of friends and the congregation of the Blood of Jesus International Ministry (BOJIM) of Prophet Dr Adventus Ekang to have a safe delivery by caesarian in a Yaounde hospital.
But to ensure better care for the conjoined twins, they were transferred to the Yaounde Gynaeco-Obstetrics and Paediatric Hospital (HGOPY) where doctors, under the supervision of the Director General, Prof. Fru Angwafo III, are battling to save them.
But it will require a humanitarian gesture from NGOs like the Chantal Biya Foundation or foreign bodies for the conjoined twins to be evacuated abroad for separation of their buttocks.
