Senate VP, Nfor Tabetando, to patronize Akwaya youths.
The wisdom, phlanthrophy and towering image of Senate Vice President Nfor Tabetando have led to his being courted by many interest groups and associations.
The latest association seeking his patronage is the Akwaya Youth Global, a non political association made up of some vibrant and foresighted youths of Akwaya Subdivision, both home and abroad, known by its acronym AYOG.
It has solicited Senate Vice President Nfor Tabetando as patron to guide and direct their socio -economic aspirations in the enclaved Subdivision.
The fervent appeal for the Bachuo Ntai traditional ruler Nfor Tabetando, to patronize AYOG, comes on the heels of a recent coordination meeting held by its exco members in the South West Regional capital, Buea.
A correspondence was addressed to the Senate Vice President by the exco, who graciously requested his visionary abilities and inordinate experiences to guide and direct them achieve their goals .
“Akwaya Subdivision is one of the most enclaved areas in Cameroon. We the Youths of this Subdivision must come together, so that we articulate the daunting and crucial problems affecting our Subdivision, especially in the areas of education, the eradication of early marriages, improvement of health facilities, the devastating road infrastructure ,as well as the fight against acute poverty and penury,” Masang Concilia Ake, President of AYOG, intimated .
The members of AYOG further opined that due to the devastating nature of the roads leading to Akwaya Subdivision, and the abysmal rate of underdevelopment, most youths have instead immigrated to neighbouring Nigeria to acquire education and to search for greener pastures. That’s why the cardinal objective of Akwaya Youth Global remains that of galvanizing all the abilities and efforts of the members in order to articulate all the worries and to work relentlessly in synergy with the government, to give the enclaved Subdivision a new facelift.
According to the members of AYOG, the choice to bring NforTabetando on board as their sailor to advise and direct them to the right path has been trenchantly viewed through his inordinate humanitarian and philanthropic gestures not only in Akwaya, but across the nation.
“Senate Vice president Nfor Tabetando is the only Manyu archetypal political giant who for the past thirty years has visited Akwaya Subdivision, more than 20 times. Besides being so close to the Akwaya people, the BachuoNtai ruler has virulently shown his absolute love for the Akwaya people, through his massive donations of food items, drugs, academic and agricultural materials and the award of scholarships, to desperate children in the Subdivision .To crown it all, he singlehandedly sponsored a documentary entitled Akwaya, in motion pictures directed by the late CRTV journalist Emmanuel Ayile, that was tailored to promote the socio -cultural values of the Akwaya people,’’ Secretary General of AYOG, Abangma Devine Mabelle proudly remarked.
The members of AYOG look up to Nfor Tabetando as a philanthropic guru who has crisscrossed the entire nation to help humanity in many facets. His colossal employment of Cameroonians in Euroil, while CEO, the overwhelming support of the projects of the Catholic community in Manyu Division, especially his initiative for the creation of the Catholic Spiritual Centre in BachuoNtai; his sponsorship of socio cultural groups, like the Besongabang Abane choir, the BachuoNtai Royal Choir, Mohwa, and the Mamfe Hausa women association; the promotion of sports through the sponsorship of BachuoNtai FC; scholarships awards and payments of hospital bills to less privileged children, are the great works of Nfor Tabetando the great 'that will never be forgotten by humanity.
