PWD of Bamenda open talks to sign Indomitable Lions goalkeeper

Reigning Cameroon Champions PWD of Bamenda have reached out to the entourage of 22-year-old Cameroonian goalkeeper Simon Medjo Loti Omossola as part of attempts to take him to Bamenda.
The Abakwa boys are looking for additional personnel in the goalkeeping role to help bury last season’s goalkeeping woes.
One of the goalkeepers pre-selected for the 2019 AFCON by coach Clarence Seedorf, Omossola, has recently been released by PWD’s rivals Cotonsport of Garoua, ending his five-year stay at the Club thus prompting PWD officials to enquire about his availability.
Omossola, double Cameroon Champion in his days at Cotonsport of Garoua, has a huge experience in the domain plus international experience.
He made his CAF Champions League debut at 18 and next season PWD return to the CAF inter-club competitions for the first time in 16 years.
Once of the Under-20 and Under-23 selections of Cameroon, Omossola is the current first choice keeper for coach Yves Clement Arroga’s intermediate Lions team.
The keeper has recently been linked with a move to Congolese AS Vita, but kick442.com understands that deal has been called off.
The former APEJES of Mfou youth team product was Cameroon’s first net minder during the 2019 Under-23 AFCON tournament in Egypt.
His experience in the game makes him a serious option for PWD of Bamenda that missed out on goalkeeper Anye Derick this window.
Last season, PWD shuffled between three goalkeepers; Zame Rodrique, Damlabeu and S. Didymus, but failed to find a fully reliable option, explaining the need for another goalkeeper.
