Cameroonian named manager of Bollore activities in Benin/Niger
Cameroonian-born Pierre Ngon has been appointed new Managing Director of Bollore Transport & Logistics for the Benin/Niger cluster. “Beginning September 1, 2020, Pierre Ngon is the new Director of the cluster,” a communiqué issued on September 14, 2020 read.
The Transport and Logistics expert has already served the firm in several capacities, for over 20 years. Ngon, who is also expected to oversee the development of logistics activities in the corridor between the port of Cotonou in Benin and Niger, replaces Jerome Binois who has been called to other duties.
The 47-year-old Pierre Ngon has held other top positions in the Cameroon outfit, prior to his appointment as the Managing Director of the Equatorial Guinea outfit in 2013. Assuming his new position, the new Managing Director said the commitment of the staff will enable them to satisfy their customers. “I am extremely proud to join the teams at the Benin/Niger cluster of Bolloré Transport & Logistics. The employees are passionate about their work and the challenges for our company are considerable. Together, we will continue to develop business activities, bring our customers competitive solutions and contribute to the social and economic growth of these two magnificent countries,” stated Pierre Ngon.
The new Managing Director holds a Master’s Degree in Management and has “in-depth knowledge of the African continent and has developed solid managerial skills during his career”. The communiqué further stated that the knowledge of the market and the needs of importing and exporting customers will enable the firm to develop “innovative and agile solutions adapted to the needs of local and international customers”.
