Court charges Stand Up For Cameroon members with insurrection
The first victims of the anti-terror laws invoked by the Cameroon government to dissuade citizens from heeding MC leader, Maurice Kamto’s call for protests last Tuesday have been activists of Kah Walla’s Stand Up For Cameroon.
Four of them were arrested and transferred to the NewBell Central Prison in Douala.
During their appearance on Tuesday at the military tribunal, they were charged with revolution, insurrection, conspiracy among others.
Four @Stand4Cameroon members arrested since Friday have been charged with conspiracy, revolution & insurrection & placed in detention at New Bell.
Dozens of young people who marched today are under arrest.

Kah Walla, the SUFC movement leader, said its jailed members do not have legal assistance and food.
Their arrest last Friday and detention has been described as unfair and illegal. “It happened in the absence of the lawyers, we are all in shock,” Remi Tassang, member of Stand Up For Cameroon movement wrote on twitter.
