Ambaboys in Bali Nyonga accused of atrocities against civilians.

Ambaboys in Bali Nyonga accused of atrocities against civilians.

Ambaboys in Bali Nyonga, Mezam Division, North West Region, have been accused of committing atrocious acts against the civilian population they initially claimed they were out to protect.

A video that inundated the social media last week exposed a gang of boys indulging in the shocking torture of women, one of whom even had a baby.

The 'crime' of the women was that they violated the Ghost Town. The video has gone viral, and is even being circulated in many Francophone forums.

The exposure of the latest atrocity has put separatists in the Diaspora on the defensive. Some of them came out to state that the women in Bali were tortured by the so called Atanga Nji's boys.

Ambaboys in Bali are already in the bad books of national and international human rights groups like Human Rights Watch, for gross abuse of human rights. Just last May, for example, the driver of a public transport vehicle on the Bamenda - Ekok road,  who is an indigene of Bali Nyonga, was so viciously tortured by the Amba boys in Bali, after they discovered some bottles of Brasseries du Cameroun products in his vehicle. He was beaten and forced to sit on fire.

When the video of the atrocity that was filmed by the Amba boys themselves went viral, and received wide public condemnation, the Amba in Bali as well as some of the guys in the Diaspora, came out in audio messages alleging that it was the handiwork of Atanga Nji's boys.

However Human Rights Watch thoroughly investigated the allegation, and came out with a credible report on the incident, indicting the Amba boys in Bali for having committed the atrocity.

It is worth noting that a larger part of Bali has been under the control of Amba for several months now.

It would be recalled that the Fon of Bali Nyonga, Dr Fon Senator Ganyonga III, fled the village over a year ago, and has since been living in his private house in the outskirts of Yaounde.
