‘Ambazonian’ resists deportation from Finland!

A man who was due to be deported to Cameroon and was aboard Finnair, the flag carrier and largest airline of Finland, resisted deportation, a source at Vantaa, Finnair’s headquarters  told the press.

The plane was due to take off from the Helsinki Airport when the immigrant, identified as William Tarh, fought his way out from the hands of the police and alerted air hostesses.

The victim was taken away from a deportation camp at Metsälä, a precinct in Helsinki at about 10AM GMT, Wednesday July 17, 2019, National Telegraph which first reported the incident, wrote.

Reports say the Finnish Immigration officers refused to present a legal document ordering the deportation. The victim’s hands were tied before he was bundled into the trunk of the police van to the airport.

Airport authorities say the victim was driven toward the plane and forced into it. As they forced him into the plane, he resisted and two other police joined their colleagues and battled the immigrant.

According to National Telegraph, William Tarh had just left the hospital and was still on treatment when the immigration officers bundled him to the airport and into the aircraft.

Eyewitnesses say, the police, about ten in number, successfully forced him into the plane. While in the plane, the victim resisted and another fight started.

After intense fighting, air hostesses intervened and asked the police to stop and take the immigrant out of the aircraft. At the end, William was taken out of the airport but this time not to the immigration camp.

He was detained at a police station in Pasila still in Helsinki. Inside reports say the victim was detained in a small room with no food for two days before he was transferred to the Metsälä Immigration Detention Centre where he’s still being held.

Human Rights Groups are very concerned about the situation. Reports say immigration officers have meted inhuman treatments on the victim. Immigration police are said to have threatened the victim that he must go back to Cameroon but William is said to have refused that Cameroon isn’t his country.

William is said to have declared he’s from Ambazonia, an outlawed country that pro-independence fighters are fighting for its restoration.
