Towe road to be tarred before end of year.
The road behind Camwater into Towe will be tarred before the end of this year, the government delegate to the Limbe City Council, Andrew Motanga Monjimba, has revealed.
He made the revelation on May 31 at a council session dedicated to the examination of the council administrative, management and stores accounts which held at the Limbe City Council deliberative chambers. Andrew Motanga further revealed that the construction of the road has delayed because of liquidity problems, adding that the project remains a priority project to his council and people should be confident that it would be done. He praised the inhabitants of Limbe for maintaining peace amidst the turbulent crisis plaguing the South West and North West regions and noted that Limbe is relatively calm when compared to what is happening in other areas of the two regions.
Andrew Montanga went on to state that the people of Limbe have the challenge to keep the peace and thanked them for giving the prime minister a warm welcome to Limbe when he came peace crusading with the news that the President of the Republic is ready to dialogue.
In his remarks, the Senior Divisional Officer for Fako, Emmanuel Engamba Ledoux, lauded Limbe as the cleanest town in the country which has also remained peaceful during the Anglophone crisis. He also thanked the government delegate and his collaborators for these achievements.
The S.D.O expressed delight at the achievements of the council this far particularly, the success of the Limbe FESTAC 2019 and the visit of the Prime Minister, Dr. Chief Joseph Dion Ngute, to Limbe. He assured the Government Delegate of his ready support at all times.
As concerns the business of the day, revenue over expenditure stood at cfa 99,470,445 for 2017, while for 2018 initially budget put at cfa 9,750,000,000.cfa 6,241,890,000 was recovered. Recurrent revenue for 2018 was 7,382,327,775cfa and cfa 6,241,890,255 was recovered and the investment expenditure for 2018 was 2,362,332,466cfa and total revenue was cfa 6,241,890,255 and total expenditure was cfa 6, 194,543,561, given an excess revenue of 49,346,664 was carried over to 2019 budget.
