UB sets new dates for resit exams.
The release of second semester results as well as commencement of resit exams and the admission of students into the University will be deferred.
A communique signed by the University’s Registrar, Professor Ndip Roland Ndip on Friday August 23, has set new dates forthese sessions.
According to TWIF NEWs which first got the communiqué, the second semester results which were due to be released last Friday have been deferred to Tuesday August 27, 2019.
Meanwhile, registration for resit examinations, the communique said, is scheduled from August 27-30, and will be written from September 3-10.
Admission for undergraduate programmes has also been affected. It has been extended until September 15. Also postgraduate applicants will have to wait until Wednesday September 28, 2019.
The reason for the shift in dates was not stated in the communique but Friday’s release came after the 77th Senate meeting held on August 22 at the institution’s Amphitheater 250.
Some students have expressed discontent over the choice of the time for the resit, given that it allegedly coincides with a separatist imposed lockdown in Anglophone Cameroon which many say might hold from September 2-6 and September 9-13 this year.
