The appointments of high-ranking officials last week into state universities were seen as a means of revamping higher education ahead of the opening of a new school year. One of the appointments that caught the attention of this newspaper was that of Prof. Njimanted Godfrey Forgha. The man has been delivering results herever he has been called to serve. Considered one of the movers and shakers of professionalism at the University of Bamenda (UBa), the indefatigable Professor was ripe for promotion. He is said to have administratively assisted in the running of HITL even in today’s perilous North West region and has since assisted in the endorsement of conventions with partner institutions to help the transport sector emerge through his academic pedigree. On the understanding therefore that meritocracy is the spice for better work, there are hopes that the Higher Institute of Commerce and Management (HICM) which he will henceforth man will blossom and produce products of timbre and caliber like their renowned moulder. The sky is definitely the limit for Prof. Njimanted as he pursues his administrative career.
