At thanksgiving: CNRPH deputy GM announces end of celebration!
Over 200 friends, family members and professional colleagues joined Douglas Achingale, deputy GM of the Cardinal Emile Leger National Rehabilitation Centre for Persons with Disabilities (CNRPH) last Saturday at his Yaounde Ngousso residence to thank God for his appointment to such a prestigious position.
The thanksgiving ceremony which started with Holy Mass and ended with wining and dining marked the end of celebration time, Achingale told participants.
Since his appointment on 16 July, he has been a good mixer, but with effect from 9 September it would be work, he said.
He called on those present to pray for him so that the mission assigned to him by God and hierarchy should be accomplished.
Achingale promised to give his all to help the state of Cameroon and the underprivileged. He said he would be working to promote the rights of those with disabilities.
Dignitaries present at the occasion included the secretaries general at the Ministries of Social affairs and Public Contracts; and senior directors of some ministries and services. Also conspicuously present were his colleagues of the CNRPH and members of the Bishop Rogan Club which Achingale frequented.
In the course of celebration, the CNRPH deputy GM went round to shake hands and exchange words with each of his guests, probably for the last time informally.
