Kondengui prison riots: Mancho Bibixy, 10 other Anglophones slammed two-year jail terms!
Coffin revolution leader, Mancho Bibixy, and 10 other Anglophone detainees charged for masterminding the Kondengui prison riots that led to the aggression of VIP prisoners like Chief Ephraim Inoni have been acquitted but slammed two-year jail.
The Ekounou Court of First Instance presided by Justice Ndema acquitted them of the charges of Destruction, Attempt to Escape, Theft and Slight harm but found them guilty of for the offence of Collective Resistance. MRC first vice president and three other MRC militants were given a similar charge and jail term. Babila Venant and one other MRC militant were slammed three years imprisonment term.
Only five (all MRC militants) out of the 20 accused persons were discharged and acquitted of all the offences. No Anglophone detainee was discharged and acquitted of all the five offences. Following is the list of Anglophone detainees arraigned before the court:
