Message from a DIASPORAN.
If you are a Southern Cameroonian fighting against your brothers abroad who are fighting against the Biya government or fighting for separation of Ambazonia from La Republique, please stop and rethink. You are fighting the wrong battle, most of those you are fighting against used to be your best friends, cousins and even siblings. You have spent great times together when they were back home or even before this crisis. It's not about you and will never be about you. The fact that you have a job as a teacher, policeman, judge, custom or state treasurer does not automatically make an Ambazonian your enemy.
The political class is the problem and the target, don't be enemies with people who are not fighting you. Have you asked yourselves why most diasporans are against political leaderships in Africa? Some are for separation and others are for regime change but the bottom line is that most right-thinking diasporans are disappointed with the political leadership in Africa. Some of you have never travelled out of Cameroun, you were born in mediocrity, you've grown up in suffering and you have become comfortable with corruption and embezzlement. You appreciate those Poor infrastructural facilities you see back home because you don't know better. All of us were at one point like that, contented in the mediocre lifestyle we had in Cameroun till we travelled out and realized, we've been fooled all our lives by the politicians. We travelled to countries like UAE that can't compare with some African countries in terms of natural resources and discovered that they are 50 times more developed than us with all the wealth we have beneath our soil.
Also, we travelled to France and noticed that, a cleaner in France has a monthly salary of 1200 euro which is about 750,000frs CFA but a cleaner in Cameroun earns only about 50 euro which is about 30, 000frs FCA yet a litre of fuel is the same price in France and Cameroon, sometimes fuel/petrol is even cheaper in France than in Southern Cameroons were the petrol is coming from. How can the cleaner in Cameroon afford fuel? Yet cleaners in France drive good vehicles. If we had good leadership, Southern Cameroonians were to be buying a litre of petrol/fuel for at most 150frs cfa because the fuel is in our land and because our salaries are very low. This is just a simple example of why you see your diaspora fighting against Biya and some fighting for separation. It's not because we want you to lose your teaching job, it's not about you, it's for a better future for us all.
Moreover, the so-called country you are dying to protect was not created to profit us Africans. When the Germans left Europe and were trying to put Cameroun together their intention was to have a big geographical region under their control so as to easily steal away our natural resources. It was never because the Germans were disturbed in Germany that la Republique and Southern Cameroon were living apart and thought if these two were brought together to form Cameroun, it would be beneficial to Africans. It has always been about business and not to the advantage of the suffering masses in Africa. France and Britain who fought and defeated the Germans took over the territory because it was business not because they wanted to help Africans, that's the reason why some Europeans are apologizing for colonialism. Read the Berlin conference, Europeans partitioned Africa to get raw materials, France is fighting to keep Ambazonia and la Republique together for their natural resources not because the union is beneficial to Ambazonians.
Finally, Southern Cameroun was handed to France for her to merge it with la Republique and continue her exploitation in an easy manner. So if you are fighting against Ambazonia then you are putting your life on the line to protect French interest or French business because the French are the principal beneficiaries of our natural resources, not Southern Cameroonians, La Republique is the second beneficiary of our natural resources then, corrupt Ambazonian politicians are third beneficiaries of our natural resources. Southern Cameroon benefits nothing from our natural resources that's why from the day we were sold to France we've lost all our Airports, Seaports and Companies. Now you know, if you want to keep on fighting against Ambazonia despite the fact that you have been told they are fighting for you, all left to you. Note this down, Ambazonian must be free.
