Separatists lockdowns, unnecessary scare, theft, banditry and death rock Nkwen, Bamenda.

 In a bid to hamper school resumption in "ground zero", Bamenda city dwellers were imposed a 3 week lock down by separatist leaders and fighters. In this light, diverse atrocities were recorded with separate casualties of great sorts.

 *Bessenge Boutique robbed*

Gunshots rocked the popular Ntabessi neighbourhood through the new road junction, foncha junction as presumed separatist fighters were at gun firing points with regular security forces.The said exercise did not pose a scare as the early hours of the morning mothered a surprise at the said boutique where thieves are said to have broken into the shop same night making away with pairs of shoes, tee-shirts and other valuables. Shockingly, they are said to have deposited chisels which were used to force open the iron shutters and also dropped their shoes and a jacket in favour of 1st grade tennis sports shoes and other valuables before making away with a huge consignment of the items on sale at the said shop.

 *Express Exchange Mile II Nkwen Bamenda Robbery*

Just a day after successfully hitting the boutique, a gang of about 8 men stormed the Express Exchange bank where they forced open the iron doors but fruitless efforts could not permit them break the safe. The unsuccessful attempt which reigned for over 1 hour was preceded by heavy gunshots around the Mile 2 area. Dismayed by the outcome, the bandits resorted to yet another unsuccessful move at the UNICs plc shortly after intervention from security officials and departure.

 *Bike Riders come heads on; 1 Drops dead*

Following the 3-week lock down imposed by separatists, Gemuh Clifford who hails from Babanki took to the streets of Bamenda in his usual hunt for cash through Bike riding. His expections were sacrificed as his bike came heads on with that of 2 commercial bike riders who were presumed to have drunk to stupour and were on top speed. At the Amour Mezam stretch of road blood could be seen on the road as eye-witnesses recount. Informed of the demise, elements of the Army rescue unit rushed down to the scene where he had been rushed to the PMI Nkwen hospital in which sympathizers and some colleagues donated 15.000 frs to help fund the bills of the deceased 19 year old before he was transferred to the Bamenda Regional hospital mortuary for subsequent burial. The victims who were rushed to the hospital suffered leg and ankle dislocations and major bruises while another from whose jacket a sachet of fighter whisky was gotten is said to have fractured his neck at almost 60 %.At press time all attempts to have hospital authorities respond to the state of affairs were futile.
