NW CPDM Elite support Head of State’s decision.

“Considering the historic address of the President of the Republic to the Nation on 10th September 2019;

Considering the fact that the address was mainly on resolving the ongoing socio-political crisis in the North West and South West Regions;

Considering especially the call for a Major National Dialogue to find lasting solutions to the crisis in particular and other National issues in general by the President of the Republic;

Considering the conciliatory tone of this address that once more proved the Head of State’s unflagging search for peace;

Considering that from the start of the crisis, the Head of State has given priority to dialogue in the search for solutions that in the major part have already been implemented in the areas of the Judicial and Educational Systems;

Considering that this address once more shows President Paul BIYA’s understating of the root causes of the problems that have resulted in this socio-political crisis;

Considering the call of the President of the Republic on friendly Nations to reconsider their stance in hosting Cameroonians inciting and sponsoring the violence and irresponsible behavior by separatists in the North West and South West Regions;

Considering the compassion extended to the bereaved and affected families in this crisis by the Head of State;

Considering the choice of the Prime Minister, Head of Government, H.E. Chief Dr. Joseph DION NGUTE as chairperson of the dialogue;

We,

Members of Government originating from the North West Region,

Heads of Permanent Regional and Divisional Delegations of the CPDM,

Parliamentarians,

Members of the Central Committee of the CPDM,

Traditional Rulers,

Elite,

Assembled this 17th day of September 2019 under the leadership of His Excellency Philemon YANG, Head of the North West Permanent Regional Delegation of the CPDM Central Committee:

Acclaim with unreserved energy this historic move of the Head of State which proves that he has an attentive ear to the call of his people;

Call on all Cameroonians at home and abroad especially those originating from the North West and South West Regions to participate in the imminent Major National Dialogue;

Call especially on our brothers and sisters who unwittingly took up arms against their own people and who are causing untold sufferings to their own compatriots to hearken to the generous offer of the Head of State and lay down their weapons so that we can together find lasting solutions to our problems;

Reiterate our unflinching support to President Paul BIYA and his vision for our beloved Fatherland;

Call on the Almighty God to continue granting President Paul BIYA and the First Lady Chantal BIYA good health and wisdom to steer the affairs of our beloved Country Cameroon.”
