New UBa officials installed.

Newly installed officials of the University of Bamenda (UBa) have been urged to uphold assiduity in discharge of their various functions.
The call was made by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Bamenda, Prof Theresia Nkuo Akenji who chaired the occasion at the institution’s restaurant.
At a time when desires have been expressed by the head of state to see the educational sector revamped, coupled with growing malpractices in the higher education milieu, 7 officials have been appointed to occupy positions that will from as their date of installation herald and necessitate the smooth functioning of all administrative roles in their school.
At the central administration Prof Mih Mathias Afui takes role of Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of internal control and evaluation (DVC ICE). For the deans, Prof. Nzalie John heads the faculty of law and political science; the Dean of Faculty of Education is Prof Titanji Peter Fon, while Dean of Faculty of Health Science is Prof Ashutantang Some Gloria Enow.
Meanwhile, for the directors, Professor Njimanted Godfrey heads the Higher Institute of Commerce and Management; Prof Fombe Lawrence heads the Higher Institute of Transport and Logistics and Mr Yang Bawe Elmer is new director of financial affairs.
While installing the new officials in the presence of the governor of the North West region Adolphe Lele L afrique, SDO for Mezam Songa Rene, amongst others, the Vice chancellor saluted the head of state’s choices. She insisted appointments in the higher education sector are based on competence and in view of this she is certain with their huge experiences serving in similar administrative roles they shall dole out their riches administratively to make the school a better place. She further hinted:"The central administration is the heart of the school. As such like the DVC ICE he is not limited to anti-corruption but should also indulge in complete follow-up. Just like the financial desk, I demand full collaboration so we can meet up with the diverse financial demands.”
To the Deans and directors, she said: " I urge them to rally the students to get to higher heights cognizant of the multiplicity of challenges. They must ensure an atmosphere of dialogue, camaraderie, rally lecturers, and above all get everybody on board.”
