The weakness of humanity.

History is like matter. Once created, it becomes indestructible. Again, history is like time. Once past, it never can be recalled. History is a continuous series of successive occurrences. Due, perhaps, to oblivion or facetious appraisal, man continues to fail to grasp the aftermath of such occurrences. And so does man continue to run into the previous historical pitfalls.

This state of affairs was depicted in one of our primary school songs:

“Oh wonders

The world shall never rest

Hitler wants to become Napoleon again”.

Adolf Hitler failed to learn from Napoleon Bonaparte’s Waterloo, and his comprehensive rout by the Russian General February. He, of course, ended up meeting his own Waterloo!

Over the years, PA Ayah did keep alive the caution that, if care was not taken, the ‘Second Foumban’ would be far worse than the first. And here now we are with the UGLY reality staring us starkly in the face. One of our sisters, Kah Walla, has already decried that Francophone governors should be leading Anglophone delegations to the famous GRAND NATIONAL DIALOGUE! And every indication there is indeed that the future is truly BLEAK!

To begin with just the similitude, the ‘First Foumban’ held from Monday, July 17 to Friday, July 21, 1961: for FIVE days. The ‘Second Foumban’ is holding from Monday, September 30 to Friday, October 4, 2019: for FIVE days!

There is no reason not to suppose that the ballroom dance in the First Foumban held on THURSDAY, July 20, 1961, to celebrate the victory of the subjugation of Southern Cameroons ahead of the solemnities of the closing ceremony the next morning, Friday, July 21, 1961. Pa Foncha and his team so got carried away, dancing with tall, long-necked Foumban girls that the main purpose of their mission got relegated to the background.

This time around, a ballroom dance is programmed for THURSDAY, October 3, 2019, on the eve of the closing solemnities of the second subjugation of Southern Cameroons on Friday, October 4, 2019. Like the First Foumban where the grade three teacher that Foncha was failed, refused or neglected to seek counsel from the more knowledgeable/educated Barrister Emmanuel Egbe Tabi; from the more knowledgeable/educated Emmanuel (another Emmanuel) ML Endeley…; the Second Foumban has excluded several knowledgeable/incorruptible Southern Cameroonians like PA Ayah whose head is a moving library of the history of Southern Cameroons, especially from 1961.

BUT THERE IS A MARKED DIFFERENCE!

The chief celebrant in 1961 was a non-Southern Cameroonian. In 2019, the chief priest is a fellow Southern Cameroonian. It is APPARENT that, like Muna in the late sixties, the chief priest has opted for collusion!

Another REMARKABLE contrast between the two ‘Foumbans’ is that, whereas Pa Foncha and his team danced on the DRY/NAKED floor, the new Fonchas are going to dance on a floor SWIRLED WITH THE BLOOD of THOUSANDS of slain innocent Southern Cameroonians!!!

THAT IS CALLED INCLUSIVE DIALOGUE!

WOE BETIDE WHOEVER SAYS ‘EXCLUSIVE’ DIALOGUE!

THE LORD IS GOOD!
