Momo indigenes regret missing such an exemplary administrator.

The recent shake-up of SDOs and DOs has sparked diverse appreciations from the public. While the departure of some administrators was welcomed as good riddance, the movement of others evoked feelings of a missing link. One of those whose transfer would be very much missed by the administered is Absalom Monono Woloa, SDO for Momo.

This fine administrator and man of the people is believed to have left an indelible mark by his tactful handling of conflicts and transparent management of resources.

Absolom Monono who moves to the Mbam and Inoubou Division in the Centre Region is credited with many achievements in the strife-torn Momo Division where he successfully won the hearts and minds of the people. The reactions of some members of the elite of Momo speak volumes about a man for whom the sky is the limit. Read on:

He was a father whose listening ear at all times is of commendable note. For the time I knew and had to meet him the experience was all the way positive,as he was accessible, a phenomenon which is very uncommon with many administrators.

He has always resorted to amicable settlement of disputes and will not encourage prolonged disunities irrespective of its sort. I coin him as visionary, owing to the fact that he had before now hinted on his plans to make Momo and Mbengwi being its divisional quarter an eldorado. He was in this note interested in the setting up of relaxation sites which to him will seduce the entire region and nation to have Mbengwi as an ideal arena for off work relaxations. The smooth relations he had with his subordinates show (delegates and chiefs of services) who salute his wit says a lot about his person.

To compound matters his open handedness to welcome men of God on all mediums for outdoor events and prayers says it all. He is a GOD-fearing man. I really will continue to wonder if Momo division will ever have a man as discreet and level-headed as he was.

Personally, I had great as well as bitter experiences dealing with him. I say great because most times as a human being meeting a man you expect or wish to have the best or warmest approach but when it seems to be turning sour you feel bitter. I visited his chambers though on an unofficial move and I was told I can’t see him. After a post concertation with his secretary, bewildered and broken, I decided to walk out not knowing what next but surprisingly I heard a bell which indicated I should be considered. To me the lesson could tell me he is a man with a living conscience. Under normal circumstances, Iought to book an audience but the fact that he decided to break the protocol to receive me tells well of a man whose open hands kept me satisfied. His fatherly words and encouragement and treatment of all are genuine qualities I admire. I further must say in most cases lax administrators usually record poor results thus his strict and very rich temperance is of commendable note. If I had a medium to reach him which I pray this helps I will urge him to be less strict because faint- hearted people may never come close even with their worries especially if their first experience turns to be bad.

In my opinion, Absalom Monono is a great force to reckon with. As a student, I can’t count how many times I have been to his office to have my documents certified. At any stop at his office, I received quick response which made me happy. Often times when we think of going for certification, I just plan a whole day wasted but with the time being I have received quick interventions which have helped me to be able to use my time properly. During the heydays in Mbengwi before I became displaced I could go by 9 am and by 11 am I return to school which wasn’t the case some years back. I saw in him a duty-conscious person who could listen to the masses.
