Minister Rose Mbah Acha receives Momo delegation present at MND.

The Minister Delegate at the Presidency of the Republic, Rose Mbah Acha Fomundam, on Saturday, 5 October 2019, received a delegation of her constituency of Momo Division at her residence in Yaounde.
The delegation consisted of some IDPs in Yaounde and the representatives of the Momo people in the just-ended Major National Dialogue organised by President Paul Biya.
It is important to indicate that the Momo Division has been one of the battle grounds in the English-speaking regions since the crisis transformed into an armed struggle. Momo people are among the most affected in the crisis and consequently have a significant number of internally displaced persons and refugees.
The Momo people at the Minister’s residence therefore gave Minister Rose Mbah Acha of CONSUPE the opportunity to meet the affected people from her homeland and raise their hopes for a brighter future.
 Special in the visit was the delegation of the representatives of the people of Momo in the Major National Dialogue who came to share their emotions with the Minister as far as the state-organised event was concerned.
With an optimistic mindset, the representatives told the Minister they were at peace with the all that took place in the National Dialogue and they believed the resolutions, if implemented, would reshape the dynamics of the crisis and bring back normalcy.
The delegation made up of sons and daughters of Momo equally said they believed the National Dialogue was inclusive and they were given the freedom to express their aspirations. They said the determination of the President of the Republic Paul Biya to implement the said resolutions as far as possible, was clear proof of his will to work for an appeasement and lasting peace. The people through the various interventions that were void of much protocol converged in their ardent desire for peace to return to the North West and South West Regions, so that the populations, especially the Internally Displaced Persons, could return to their homes and live their pre-crisis normal lives. Highlighting the fact that since the outset of the crisis the North West has been declining steadily considering that all planned development projects are at a standstill, they were all unanimous that nothing can be built without peace.
The Momo people used the gathering to tell themselves the truths, notably, that the ball was in their camp. They have to be the ambassadors of peace to their brothers, to tell the kids in the bushes to come out and go back to school for it was time for peace.
The participants promised to be peace ambassadors as they returned home and to also ensure that the take-home package of the National Dialogue is transmitted to the local population such that collaborative peace could be achieved.
