Over 20 CRM supporters granted bail.
Twenty-two more members of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement (MRC) party were last Thursday, 17 October, released from jail.
The decision comes after they spent nine months in detention. They are awaiting trial on charges of insurrection for taking part in unauthorised demonstrations after the 2018 presidential election.
Though released on bail, they are due to appear in court December 7, 2019.
A CRM lawyer told BBC that more than 60 other MRC supporters were still being held on other “trumped-up charges”.
Over two weeks ago, it should be recalled, legal proceedings against Kamto and close to 100 other MRC leaders were dropped.
